The world is awakening...

THRIVE  is an unconventional documentary that lifts the veil on what's REALLY going on in our world by following the money upstream -- uncovering the global consolidation of power in nearly every aspect of our lives. Weaving together breakthroughs in science, consciousness and activism, THRIVE offers real solutions, empowering us with unprecedented and bold strategies for reclaiming our lives and our future.

I urge everyone to watch this before it gets taken down... yet again. THRIVE.

"If humankind would accept and acknowledge this responsibility and become creatively engaged in the process of evolution, consciously as well as unconsciously, a new reality would emerge, and a new age could be born."

The Law of Attraction

Friday, January 13, 2012

I think that almost everyone is familiar with the law of attraction. For those of you who are not, it can be summed up as this:

The law of attraction is a universal law that governs the belief that "like attracts like". That positive and negative thinking or thought vibration bring about positive and negative physical results. For example, the phrase "I need more money" would only create the need for more money. In order for this to change you would have to focus your thoughts on the goal (having more money) rather than the problem (needing more money). This is only one area and example in your life where the law of attraction could be used.

I don't necessarily believe all of the principles disclosed in the movie "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne, but I do believe that thought is creation and that having control of our thoughts could change our vibration and the outcome of what we attract into our lives. Being that I'm empathetic in nature, I easily pick up on other peoples energies. Sometimes this can be a negative and intense experience for me. That being said, to be able to control and master your thoughts would most likely be a huge advantage for one trying to manifest positive things into their life and explore their higher consciousness.

If you'd like to learn more about the law of attraction, you can explore the website and watch the trailer here: The Secret

You can download a free copy of the legendary book that inspired the film ("The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace D. Wattles) here: Free eBook

What is Enlightenment?

Wednesday, January 11, 2012
I've been asked what does the word enlightenment mean to me? And since that subject is crucial in this blog, I feel that's worth elaborating on. Enlightenment can be defined many different ways and the the definition can be one that illustrates the uniqueness of the seeker. The dictionary defines enlightenment as this:

en·light·en·ment/enˈlītnmənt/

Noun:
  1. The action of enlightening or the state of being enlightened.
  2. The attainment of spiritual knowledge or insight, esp. (in Buddhism) that which frees a person from the cycle of rebirth.

I think that frequently people who have not put much thought into the meaning attribute 'enlightenment' with Buddhism, meditation and Nirvana. Although there are many beautiful lessons taught in Buddhism, especially ones that involve true compassion for humanity and all living things, you do not need to practice any religion to benefit from exploring your being and folowing your own path to a deeper understanding and higher consciousness.

In the secular sense, 'enlightenment' basically means "full comprehension of a situation".  Since I am more of a spiritual being, I have decided to define it as this:

A spiritual revelation or deep insight into the meaning and purpose of all things. The path to understanding yourself in entirety; your mind, your heart and your soul which leads to fundamentally changing your own consciousness.

What does enlightenment mean to you? Are you seeking the answers to the universe and your existence?

New Years Resolution...

Tuesday, January 3, 2012
Happy 2012! For my New Year's resolution, I decided to create a blog for the purpose of sharing my experiences as I journey on the path to spiritual enlightenment. This blog is intended to be a sacred place where I can express my deepest thoughts, hopes and dreams freely.

I hope that many of you will feel comfortable sharing your experiences as well or perhaps you will find comfort in mine. If anything, this is and will always be a welcoming place for inner reflection, spiritual awareness and the path to truth.

We are all delicately and divinely interwoven with each other, our nurturing Mother Earth, every creature and all that 'is' in this universe. Let's see how much love, positive energy and spiritual awareness we can spread this year.

Please feel free to follow me, comment and stay tuned for my upcoming posts!
